Marcin Daniel is a PhD candidate in economics and finance at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, specializing in international economics. His research focuses on the competitiveness of strategic sectors in the EU's economic relations with East Asia, including the automotive, semiconductor, and defense industries. He is interested in the geoeconomic dimension of these processes — in how trade policy and technological rivalry translate into the competitive position of European industry. He carried out part of his research on competitiveness and strategic sectors during a research stay at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul.
